Government Spokesperson Dr. Isaac Mwaura has reassured residents that the 683 billion shilling gold discovery in Isulu–Bushiangala will directly benefit the community. He clarified that Kenya’s mining law guarantees fair revenue sharing, 70% to the national government, 20% to Kakamega County and 10% to the local community.
