Uchumi Supermarket Chief Executive Officer Lawrence Musyimi Ngao has been charged with two counts of stealing from the chain store. Appearing before Kibera Principal Magistrate Agneta Ogonda, the prosecution informed the court that Musyimi conspired with others not in court to steal a chimney extractor fan valued at 135,000 shillings, the property of Hotspot coffee lounge limited. He denied the charges and was released on a cash bail of 50,000 shillings. His application to not be charged, citing the charge sheet was not properly crafted, was declined, with the case now set for pre-trial on 27th November.
