Kenya’s transition to clean mobility has received a boost after a local Energy Vehicle company announced plans to establish an electric vehicle (EV) assembly plant in Mombasa by 2026. The move by MojaEV Company, besides conserving the environment, will also create 6,000 new jobs. For they planning to invest in Matatu's, the company announced a bank-financed package.Speaking in Nairobi, MojaEV Kenya Limited CEO Wang Aiping emphasized the company’s long-term vision to make Kenya a regional leader in electric mobility through manufacturing and innovation.
