Teachers in Kiambu County are raising alarm over the country’s preparedness for the Grade 10 transition, warning that key gaps could undermine the Competency Based Education rollout. Under the Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers, KUPPET, the teachers said that most of them who are expected to handle Grade 10 have not been fully retooled, while those trained reported that the sessions were inadequate and left them ill-prepared for classroom implementation.
