ODM's Harrison Kombe retains Magarini Constituency MP seat

    Harrison Kombe has been re-elected as who vied for the Magarini member of the National Assembly. In Thursday's by-election, the Orange Democratic Movement candidate bagged 17,909 votes, representing 64 percent of the 27,808 votes cast. Stanley Kenya of the Democracy for Citizens Party came a distant second with 8,907 votes. Announcing the results at Mapimo Vocational Training College, the constituency tallying centre, Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Returning officer Joseph Mwafondo disclosed that only 34.5% of the 80,128 registered voters turned up to exercise their civic duty.
