The government has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening Kenya’s media industry, vowing to deepen engagement and cooperation with journalists. Cabinet Secretary Information, Communication and Digital Economy William Kabogo also gave the government's commitment to promoting safer working conditions and fostering reforms to modernize public communication. He made the assurances during the 8th Annual Editors’ Convention in Kilifi County where media leaders had raised concerns over the safety of journalists, shrinking revenues and the impact of technology on newsrooms.
