    In Kenya’s far north, near the remote community of Ileret in Marsabit County, scientists have uncovered one of the world’s most extraordinary windows into early human life. Footprints left 1.52 million years ago, and newly documented animal and hoofprints believed to reflect early herding behavior, are reshaping our understanding of the region’s past.
