The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has been challenged to decentralise the ongoing voter registration to ward levels to address the low turnout.According to youth leaders from Gilgil and Naivasha constituencies in Nakuru County, many youth could not afford to travel to constituency headquarters to register as voters, hence the poor turnout. The leaders disclosed that out of the 80,000 new voters that the commission had targeted in the two constituencies, less than 2,000 have turned up to register.
