Access to justice in Khwisero Constituency of Kakamega County has received a major boost following the reopening of a local court, which has undergone full renovation. Speaking during the unveiling of the facility, Senior Butere Court Judge Edwin Wasike said the Butere Law Courts had been grappling with a heavy backlog of cases, forcing residents to travel long distances for judicial services. He noted that the revamped Khwisero Court will now ease pressure on the Butere courts, reduce delays, and prevent cases from collapsing due to lost evidence.
