Residents of Kimbo and Matangini villages in Juja, Kiambu County, are appealing for urgent government intervention over the deplorable state of their 6-kilometre road, which has remained a nightmare for more than a decade. The residents who took to the streets to protests against the state of the road, say the substandard construction has left deep potholes and flooding that endanger motorists, with some women even delivering along the route. Locals now want clarity between county and national governments on who should take responsibility and have the road rebuilt to proper standards.
