Court to deliver ruling in activist Nuru Okanga's cybercrime case on January 20, 2026

Activist Nuru Maloba Okanga will know on January 20th, 2026, whether he has a case to answer in a cybercrime-related offence, after the last prosecution witness gave his testimony Tuesday. While giving the direction, Trial Magistrate Rose Ndombi declined the defence request to compel the prosecution to bring the President to court to testify. Okanga is accused of circulating an inflammatory video online touching on President William Ruto, which he allegedly shared through platforms linked to him.
