An instructor at the Kenya Institute Of Highways and Building Technology Kisii Campus has been arrested over allegations of bribery and extortion. Fidel Omondi was arrested by EACC officers following the execution of a search warrant in which he was found in possession of an envelope containing 171,000 shillings in his pocket. Initial investigations reveal he is among the two instructors who were demanding a mandatory bribe of 3,100 shillings for students to pass driving test exams. Further the school tuition fee was 65,000 shillings however, students who opted not to pay directly to the school accounts were charged 40,000 shillings by the instructors.
