The broad-based government has recorded a sweeping landslide victory in the just concluded by-elections, clinching all six national assembly seats that were up for contest. Mbeere North and Malava constituencies where political stakes were at their highest were both clinched by the ruling party, United Democratic Allianc,e with Magarini and Kasipul constituencies also hotly contested delivered victory to the Orange Democratic Movement Party candidates. The Ugunja and Banisa MP seats were clinched by ODM and UDA, respectively. President William Ruto termed the win as a reminder that the nation is bigger and better when it stands united.
