The government has reaffirmed its commitment to reviving and fast-tracking completion of stalled road projects across the country, in line with the directive to boost connectivity, spur local economies and ensure value for taxpayers’ money. The team inspected major projects, including the 2.8 billion shillings Silibwet–Merigi–Chemaner–Kembu–Longisa Road, where 18.5 kilometres have been tarmacked, with full completion expected by 2027.
