Kenya will conduct its first national census of the endangered Grey Crowned Crane next year as conservationists raise alarm over the species’ rapidly declining population. Once estimated at about 35,000 in 1980, the Grey Crowned Crane population in Kenya has fallen to roughly 10,000 today.
