Life is slowly but surely returning to normalcy in Mbeere North just hours after the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission announced Leonard Wamuthende as the new area member of the National Assembly elect. The area witnessed a fierce political battle pitting the ruling United Democratic Alliance party and Democratic Party that lost the seat after Geoffrey Ruku, who was the area member of parliament, was appointed to the cabinet.
