The national assembly departmental committee on lands is demanding action against the Agricultural Development Corporation after senior management failed to appear before MPs over the contested 250,000-acre Galana-Kulalu land in Tana River and Kilifi counties. Residents accused the Agricultural Development Corporation of harassment and refusing to release the 250,000 acres promised under President Kibaki’s directive. MPs now want full accountability. The Committee has given the officials 7 days to appear before it and answer all the queries raised.
