Nyamasabi Ward MCA Christopher Onsaga has been arraigned in a Kisii court for allegedly defrauding two members of the public of more than Sh 200,000. According to the State Prosecutor Cletus Akelo, the suspect was being investigated following several complaints of obtaining money by pretence from the public with the promise of facilitating their travel to Canada. The MCA denied the allegations and was released on a bond of Sh. 100,000 or a cash bail of Sh. 50,000. The case will be mentioned on the 4th of next month.
