President William Ruto has officially launched the dualling of the Rironi–Nakuru–Mau Summit Road, marking the start of construction on the 170-kilometre highway that links Nairobi to the Rift Valley and western Kenya. The project, to be implemented under a public–private partnership by a consortium led by China Road and Bridge Corporation and the National Social Security Fund, aims to ease decades of congestion, delays, and frequent accidents along the corridor.
