Ruto : Village elders to receive Ksh 3000 monthly stipend

President William Ruto has announced goodies for local administrators among them inclusion of over 100,000 village elders on government’s payroll, promotion of chiefs, as well as police constables who are 50 years and above. The president made the announcement while receiving the Jukwaa La usalama report from the Ministry of Interior. The report recommended a 21 point plan to enhance security including officer welfare and support, policy legal and institutional reforms, strengthening cyber resilience, decentralisation of immigration services, Boda Boda sector regularization and empowerment.
