Two MCAs among 63 people arrested in connection with Ikolomani unrest

63 people, among them two County Assembly Members, have been arrested in connection with violent scenes witnessed in Ikolomani on Thursday. The two MCA’s Achadius Liyayi of Idakho Central and Nominated MCA Ann Mulwale are accused of financing a gang that orchestrated the violence that disrupted a meeting convened to discuss a proposed plan to relocate locals to pave the way for a gold-mining investment. During the violence, four people were shot dead and several people were injured.
