Women from Elwak in Kenya and Somalia have united to push for peace and raise concern over the rising cases of Tahriib, the illegal migration of youth through dangerous routes stretching from Nairobi to Addis Ababa. In a meeting convened by Boresha Nabad, the women condemned the growing influence of human-trafficking networks, including Magafe and Muqalas, which they say are tearing families apart. They also shared heartbreaking stories of young people recruited, abducted, or injured while attempting to migrate, underscoring the heavy human toll of these perilous journeys.
