Kenya facing a major egg deficit

Kenya continues to face a major egg deficit, producing 4 billion eggs annually against a national demand of 9 billion eggs prompting the importation of up to 5 billion eggs annually. It is this state of affairs that has seen Agriculture and Livestock Development Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe call for urgent change to increase the production of eggs.
