Kenya’s pledge to power every home under the Mission 300 plan is facing fresh scrutiny, as civil society and disability groups demand transparency, fairness, and inclusion in how billions in clean energy funds are spent. Speaking in Naivasha during a consultative workshop focused on how communities, especially marginalized groups, can shape the newly launched National Energy Compact 2025-2030, the groups warned that without deliberate planning, vulnerable communities, including persons with disabilities, could be left behind in the country’s green transition.
