Kakrao Technical and Vocational College have embarked on a cleanup exercise in Migori town as part of activities to mark World Cleanup month. The initiative is aimed at raising awareness on the need to recycle textile waste and promote fashion.
The institution's Principal, Barclays Odhiambo, encouraged players in the textile industries to be innovative and reuse the waste. He noted that the country is producing two million tons of textile waste that can be recycled to improve lives, conserve the environment and generate income.
