Kenya and the Intergovernmental Authority on Development, IGAD, have opened crucial talks in Nairobi to craft a new five-year regional blueprint that will define how the Horn of Africa confronts its most pressing challenges, from climate disasters and shrinking development funds to regional instability. IGAD’s head of mission to Kenya, Dr. Fatuma Adam, says the strategy will ensure Kenya’s national priorities are firmly embedded in the bloc’s 2030 vision.
