Sir Keir Starmer has announced the UK`s recognition of a Palestinian state, in what represents a change in government policy. In a video statement on X, the prime minister said the UK is acting to keep alive the possibility of peace and a two state solution. Back here in Nairobi, thousands peacefully marched in solidarity with Palestinian people who they say are undergoing untold suffering under Israel`s occupation.
