A section of the Isiolo–Meru community have voiced concerns over what they term as bad governance within the county administration, accusing local leaders of mismanagement. Speaking during a community meeting held over the weekend, the group also criticized a faction within the community that continues to falsely praise the county government, claiming the group is misleading the governor by downplaying the challenges facing residents. The group’s chairman, Mr. Stephen Mworia, urged the county leadership to embrace transparency, accountability, and inclusivity in governance, saying that meaningful development can only be achieved when all community members are involved in decision-making processes.
