In a move towards achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC), the Government has launched an expansive nationwide healthcare digitisation programme and officially enrolled over 2.2 million vulnerable citizens into the Social Health Insurance Fund SHIF. Speaking during the launch, the Head of State emphasized the importance of digitisation as a means of enhancing transparency, efficiency, and service delivery in the health sector.
