A new state-of-the-art operating theatre has been launched at Kitengela Sub-County Hospital, Kajiado County to boost maternal health services. The facility is expected to ease congestion and improve access to safe delivery for expectant mothers.Medical Officer in Charge, Dr. Veronica Abuto, says handling emergency cases has been difficult due to limited infrastructure and reliance on a single theatre. She says the new modern facility will ease pressure and enhance emergency response, reducing risks for mothers and newborns. County Health CEC Alex Kilowua says the National Equipment Support Program and partnerships between the national and county governments have played a key role in improving maternal health services.
