The Ministry of Health has ordered an audit of facilities that offer cosmetic surgeries in the wake of Lucy Wambui Ng'ang'a's death which has been attributed to perforations arising out of a liposuction procedure. The Ministry has given regulators 30 days to assess the staff and 'body by Design' facility as well as other clinics that offer similar services to assure patient safety.
