Kiambu County Government, in collaboration with the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD), has initiated a training program to ensure that all Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) teachers who were employed without diploma certificates are enrolled in diploma courses. Kiambu County Governor Kimani Wamatangi said full sponsored training will ensure that all 1,538 teachers in 524 ECDE centres in the region have the needed skills and knowledge. Wamatangi said 250 more ECDE teachers will be hired in January next year
