The inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja has denied involvement of police in cases of kidnappings and abductions in the country. Appearing before the national assembly administration and security committee, Kanja said police only arrest, instead urging the public to provide information on criminals perpetrating the abductions. He said a total of 57 cases of kidnappings and abductions have been reported since June 2024.
