A three Judge bench of the High Court has agreed to pause Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua case challenging his impeachment until 23rd January 2025 to give room for the main appeal to proceed at the Court of Appeal. The main appeal challenges the Judge’s refusal to recuse themselves from the case and the bench's empanelment by the deputy chief justice. Elsewhere, Justice Lawrence Mugambi has dismissed petitions challenging the lifting of the ban on genetically modified organisms-GMO foods in Kenya.
