President Ruto says land fragmentation is a threat to food security

    President William Ruto has once again reiterated plans by government to stop land fragmentation in the country terming it a threat to food security and wildlife. Speaking during the 20th anniversary celebrations at Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Laikipia County, the head of state said a lot of agricultural land is being threatened by construction of houses and other activities saying his administration is committed to progressively change this. Ruto has cited affordable housing as one of the solutions that will ensure available land is sustainably used for agriculture.
