European Union Ambassador to Kenya Henrietta Geiger has expressed concerns over what she terms as a shrinking civil society space. The ambassador spoke when she presided over the second annual media civil society organizations conference where she urged synergy between the media and civil society organizations so that they discharge their mandate.This year’s conference whose theme is safeguarding freedoms in the digital age: protecting voices, advancing technology and ensuring access provides a critical platform for media practitioners and civil society actors to examine the current challenges and opportunities in the digital landscape.
