An initiative to bridge the climate information gap, provide precise weather forecasts and climate insights customized to rural communities has kicked off in Garissa County.The collaborative initiative spearheaded by the Weather and Climate Information Services is designed to equip Kenya’s most vulnerable communities with timely, customized Climate information, empowering them to prepare for and mitigate the impacts of climate change. Communities in Garissa have historically lacked access to reliable weather information, making it difficult to prepare for climate-related challenges such as droughts and floods. This initiative is expected to be a game changer in the region.
