The Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institute has embraced the strategy of inclusive education by integrating learners with special needs with other students in efforts to combat discrimination faced by students with disabilities and provide them with equal opportunities. The special TVET institutions however note that they are facing challenges in accessing assistive devices for learning due to high costs and are appealing to well wishers and the government for support in acquiring these essential tools. Additionally the institutions are advocating for the implementation of online distance learning programs to enable virtual enrollment for students with disabilities adding that this will significantly expand access to education for these students especially those in remote areas.
