Herders in Kajiado County have expressed reservations over the government’s nationwide livestock vaccination campaign, which aims to vaccinate 22 million cows and 50 million goats and sheep to improve animal health and boost market access.The herders who raised fears of negative effects on their livestock, are demanding comprehensive reports on the vaccines safety. The government has however insisted the program is vital for securing international markets and enhancing livestock health.
