Unions reject proposed comprehensive insurance cover

    Civil servant unions have denied claims that taxpayers money will be used to foot their comprehensive medical cover under the new scheme, social health aurthority. The unions say the funds will be recovered from the civil servant's medical benefits that they relinguished to the government from 2012 under the defunct nhif. The treasury has introduced a draft bill that will create a new comprehensive health insurance cover for civil servants that is currently at the public participation stage.
