According to the Turkana community, a man should have a traditional wedding by paying a dowry and slaughtering a bull to earn respect in the community.
If the man has children, then he will be deprived of the children by the uncle's family and will remain a lonely man in the community if he does not fulfil the traditional wedding.
Kitio Micah Masai attended the traditional wedding of Turkana Governor Jeremiah Lomorukai who was marrying a second wife in a traditional wedding and filed the following report.
