In a rare initiative aimed at helping vulnerable students pursue an education, Ian Gichohi has embarked on a 10,500 kilometers cycling challenge from Cairo in Egypt to South Africa’s Cape town. The starehe boys school alumni who began his cycling journey early this month targets to raise 100 million shillings to finance the education of at least 100 students in his former school. Gichohi who made a pit stop in Nairobi, shared his experience so far with our reporter John Kahiro. Here is his story of passion and resilience.
