    Youths from Boni Forest villages in Lamu County have called on the government to create more job opportunities for the Awer community, highlighting their ongoing struggles with limited access to employment.Speaking during a celebratory event recognizing 21 youths who secured jobs, local leaders emphasized the need for economic inclusion, noting that insecurity deters outsiders from working in the area. Lamu County Governor Issa Timamy however assured the Awer community that an affirmative action plan is in progress, aimed at enhancing education and vocational training to equip youth with skills for the job market.
