A new poll released by pollstar POLITRACK AFRICA has highlighted the urgent need for county governments to prioritize development projects. The survey, conducted between the 10th and 17th of November 2024, polled 3,211 respondents across the country and assessed the performance of 20 governors. Kakamega Governor Fernandes Baraza was ranked the top performer by the poll with an approval rating of 76.5%. He was closely followed by Tharaka Nithi's Muthomi Njuki at 75.1% and Narok's Patrick Ole Ntutu came in 3rd with73.2%.The poll also noted a strong correlation between development and re-election, urging governors to focus on public needs rather than self-initiated projects.
