Women Rights Defenders have called on the Government and Development partners to strengthen safety mechanisms for th women defenders facing violence during crisis.While commemorating International Women Human Rights Defenders day the women in a report revealed that a higher percentage of women defenders have had their livelihoods disrupted due to climate change crisis and gender based violence. They underscored the need for targeted interventions to ensure their resilience in continued advocacy for women rights in the wake of increased cases of Gender based violence experienced in the country.
