Kenya's femicide protestors teargassed by police - BBC Africa
Kenyan police have used tear gas to break up a protest against rising cases of femicide, as demonstrators called for tougher laws and better policing. The protest comes on the final day of the global 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign. The United Nations says in 2023 a daily average of 140 women and girls were killed by a partner or a close relative in femicide related cases globally. The BBC’s Anita Nkonge reports.
