Six employees of Sony Sugar Company have been arrested for the theft of 7.55 tonnes of sugar in April 2024. The company’s Managing Director, Martin Dima, confirmed the arrests and revealed that two senior officers from the sales department are still being pursued by police. The loss was discovered during an internal audit conducted before Dima’s appointment. Farmers through their representative are calling for the arrest of culpable individuals and revival of the company's economic strength.
