Driver arrested ferrying 12,000 litres of illegal ethanol

    Police in Teso North, Busia County have impounded more than 12,000 litres of ethanol in a lorry in transit from Uganda to Kenya and arrested the driver. According to the OCPD Teso South, Francis Gachoki, police were on high alert after establishing that the truck was using an alternative route to the country. This move triggered them to inspect the truck, only to realize that ethanol had been packed in tanks covered with tents and ballast.
