The Principal Secretary for Basic Education Dr. Belio Kipsang has reassured parents of a seamless transition of learners from Grade 8 to 9 when schools reopen on 6th January. Speaking in Mombasa during the commissioning of grade nine classrooms Kipsang revealed that 13,200 grade nine classrooms have already been constructed nationwide and over 2,800 others are at various stages of completion. 9.9 million Grade 9 textbooks have been printed, with 85% of schools having already received the books.
