Two children aged four years have been burnt beyond recognition after a fire gutted down their house at Murinduko, Mwea East Sub County in Kirinyaga. The twins were left at home with their grandmother. Their mother was out to scout for a school which the two were to join when the unfortunate incident happened. Area assistant chief Patrick Njeru says the grandmother heard a loud bang from the house followed by the inferno. Efforts to put out the fire proved futile and by the time firefighters from Kirinyaga and Embu arrived, it was too late. The source of the fire is yet to be established.
